In response to COVID-19, CMSD has implemented teledermatology services to provide virtual consultations via video, audio, and data transmission for non-urgent skin conditions.

In response to COVID-19, the Centre for Medical and Surgical Dermatology has taken measures to keep patients and staff safe.
In-office visits are reserved for patients with urgent cases, such as rapidly growing cancers, drug rashes, blistering conditions, and other rapidly spreading rashes.
For the majority of patients with skin conditions, the Centre for Medical and Surgical Dermatology offers teledermatology, a method of providing virtual consultations via video, audio, and data transmission. Scheduled virtual dermatology appointments and a virtual dermatology walk-in clinic are held during working hours. New patients are required to have a hard copy or a soft copy of their referral from a primary care provider.
