Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component found in the skin’s support tissue: between collagen and elastin fibers. Its main task is to keep skin hydrated. Generally, due to regular aging and/or exposure to various environmental stressors (i.e. sun), the quality and quantity of hyaluronic acid decreases. As a result, the skin becomes dry and wrinkles begin to appear.

It has an ability to retain a large capacity of water in the intracellular matrix.
