World Psoriasis Day

October 29th, 2020 is the World Psoriasis Day. International Federation of Psoriasis Associations (IFPA) has dedicated this day to people who live with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis.  The first day that occurred in 2004 showed endless support, dedication, and enthusiasm among different audiences.

Even today, during the COVID-19 Pandemic the  World Psoriasis Day is celebrated in more than 50 countries.

This Day the Centre for Medical and Surgical Dermatology dedicates to our psoriasis patients. Under the leadership of the Dr. Maksym Breslavets MD, PhD, FRCPC the Centre provides comprehensive and state of the art care for patients suffered from the Psoriasis. For the last three years, Dr. Breslavets with his Team provided medical care for 500  patients suffered from psoriasis.

On October 29th, the needs of these patients are being addresses through raising awareness, spreading information, improving access ways to treatment, and giving psoriasis community a voice. 

On the World Psoriasis Day, dermatologists and other experts spread more educational information about psoriasis, break common myths, and discuss affordable and effective treatment methods. 

It is a day-to-day challenge and struggles for individuals with psoriasis to get the world to listen to their needs and accommodations.
